Garden Valley Potting Soil is a complete indoor/outdoor container soil formulated and used by professional growers. It is a custom blend of Canadian sphagnum peat moss, organic humus, volcanic pumice, compost, sand, perlite, vermiculite and lime, specially formulated by professional growers. In addition, a wetting agent is used to help break down surface tension so watering is easier and moisture flows through the planting container more uniformly.

To use, select a clean container that will drain well. To remove plant from old container, moisten the soil well and let stand for a while. Turn the container over and tap bottom to loosen the root mass, but be careful to secure the plant by holding the stem between your fingers. Partially fill your container with new potting soil then loosen some of the compacted soil around the root system and place it in the center of container with root mass about 1/2 inch from the top. Add more potting soil and gently press the soil in place until soil level reaches top of root mass. Water thoroughly and allow water to flush through several times and then allow to drain. Be careful not to flush soil on patio or wood decking and use a container dish to set your container in if placing on a stainable surface.

We recommend that you maintain a regular fertilizing program and always follow water, fertilizer and light requirements of your individual plants.
