Garden Valley Chicken Compost is a naturally rich organic soil amendment for use in all outdoor gardens and flower beds, or as a topdress mulch. Chicken Compost is a special blend of chicken manure, horse manure and organic humus.

The primary use for Chicken Compost is for amending poor garden soils. We recommend that you till or work in 1 to 3 inches of Chicken Compost into 4 to 6 inches of existing soil to create an ideal garden bed. Use when an all organic mix is desired.

Chicken Compost is recommended for vegetable and flower beds, and most ideal for plants requiring a nitrogen rich soil amendment. It should be applied and worked into existing soil in late fall or early spring prior to planting, but may be used as a topdress mulch between garden rows during the growing season.
